I posted a job on Upwork and today I hired my first freelancer.

I am in the US and so is my freelancer.

What do need to file for US taxes?
Does my freelancer need to fill out a W-9?
Do I need to send Upwork a 1099/W-9/I-9 at the end of the year?
Do I need to file anything at for Upwork or for my freelancer?
