Why was i Charged extra

Hi 

I hired, At first was sent two verification amounts , Will they be refunded?

Secondly , I has to pay someone 40 cad but 55 cad got deducted from my account. Why? Please explain

Will the verification charges be refunded?

• The $10.00 (USD) verification charge will remain as pending while the card is being verified
• The charges will be refunded to your credit card as soon as it is verified or after the 7th day from the date the card was added if verification is not completed, unless you have an outstanding balance on Upwork
• If you have an outstanding balance on Upwork, the verification charges will be applied to that pending balance automatically

As for the additional amount being deducted, Upwork adds a processing fee on all payments made. This should show up as a separate charge on your account.

All rates and prices are US Dollars, never CAD

So if you saw $ 40 - that would be $ 40 US Dollars, plus a 3% processing charge
