One might point out...
The original post did NOT mention the fact that the contractor who disappeared did so without turning in significant work files.
This turned out to be a very important part of the story, which the original poster only mentioned in a subsequent post.
So there were really two topics here, related, but not the same:
- a contractor doing work, which he was presumably paid for, but not providing that work to the client
and
- a contractor leaving a big project without notifying the client
Shazad, accusing one of your ex-agency members (whose name you have mentioned before it was deleted) publicly that this person has stolen something is not quite correct. Stealing something is a criminal act, so please secure that you can prove this. Moreover, the community is not the place to discuss this. Please, clarify this with Upwork and also feel free to take legal actions against the freelancer in his country of origin or in the US (address of your agencies).

I don't think that's quite it either.....
It looks like one of the members of the OPs agency decided they no longer wanted to be a member of said agency.
The REAL client being whoever hired the freelancer through the agency...
