Hi
I get the error "You cannot join this team until the client adds a complete address. Please wait until the client does so." when trying to hire a freelancer. I already have my address on file and on file with my payment credit card.
What's happening?
How do I fix it?

For those looking for the solution off of Google:
Under Settings > My Info > Company Contacts Address is the part that the client needs to fill out.
In my case, the client had said they filled out their address, but they had filled out the tax form address.

Hello, I am trying to accept an offer and I keep getting this error 'You cannot join this team until the client adds a complete address. Please wait until the client does so.' I told the client to update the contact following the recommendation from the previous posts (Settings > My Info > Company contacts > and your full address.) The client informed me that everything is in order.
I have waited 12 hours and have not gotten a response to the submitted ticked. Kindly help to look into this. Thanks

Hello there,
I am also facing the same issue with accepting the offer from one of my clinet, I aked them to add their physical address (guided in this thread) and my employer have completed the address section but the issue is still persist.
I would really appreciate some help on this as it became frustrating when you work hard to get the new job and at the end not able to accept the offer 😞

Thank you for your message. It looks like the address is still not updated on the client's account. This issue will be automatically resolved as soon as the address is updated.

For privacy reasons, we can't disclose any information or actions that's been taken on a user's account. However, I can see that the client still needs to provide their complete address for you to proceed with the contract.

In general, clients would go to Settings> My Info and complete their location information under the Company Contact section. As Annie Jane mentioned, we highly suggest you advise the client to reach out to our support team if they have any issues adding their address and they will surely assist them accordingly.

Be careful what you ask for, they will suspend your account. I asked for help and then Upwork support suspends my account because Upwork's system autogenerated pre-filled company name in the profile section of my account and it says "My Company" which I never put their nor did I put a company because im a client not a freelancer and I hire freelancers. So be careful when you ask for help, now they want to see all sorts of financial statements which is ridiculous. I attached a screenshot of their email to me so you can see. Good luck
