Hi, I am a newbie and I just wanted to know if it is okay for me to accept only the link that my client send me to my email. The client gave me the details on how am I going to download the link...together with the user ID and user name I am going to use. Is it a scam? Please help me. Thank you!

...it most likely is. Generally: never click on a link that someone you don't know sent you, never enter any personal details or your own usernames/passwords from other sites. What's the job? There's a tiny tiny possibility that it could be legit, only if it's some kind of Dropbox/cloud storage link where large files necessary for your work are kept. Even then, if it's a new client, I'd want them to plainly email me anything under 20MB.
