Congratulations, Eve!  Your posts with photos of the Norwegian outdoors has been a treat.

Thank you Bruce!

Here's another picture for you.
This belongs to the family, so I spent a lot of time here in my younger days. But never really appreciated the peace and quiet before I got older.

Today it's exactly 1 year ago that I got my first contract here, and that was also my first job as a freelancer.

(Only made $5, but still. It was a start.)

Woop woop!

Wow! Well done you! And your "start" certainly escalated.

You should have received at least one of the Upwork prezzies by now - coffee cup, Tshirt, thermos? . . .

Now I got an email from Upwork congratulating me on my 1st year.

@Upwork. Next time you want to send me an email: Don't.
Send me a thermos insted! Norway is cold, and it's already snowing here. I need something to keep my coffee hot.

And it would be a win-win.
I would drink more coffee, and then work more and earn more money. That way you also get more money. So sending me a thermos is really an investment. Right?

Thank you everyone!

And also a big thanks for helping me out with various issues I've had in this last year. I've learned alot from all of you.

Initially I said I would start out by freelancing for a year, and then go back to some kind of real job. I just assumed I would run out of savings after about a year. Everyone said that making $500 a month was what I could expect as a freelancer, and I would be really lucky if I made $1000 some months. With my clients on and off platform I'm now making more money than what I ever did before, so now I'm never going back to being an empolyee.

A boss checking up on everything I do, set working hours, only 1 hour break, and a demand to wear proper clothes every day. – No thank you!

Guess who got a thermos from Upwork in the mail today!

(Not sure why the picture ended up sideways, but can't be bothered to fix it.)

Thank you Upwork (and Lena)!

Merry Christmas!
