So true, but without my phone I'd have to get out of bed and login to the computer to type this, not to mention not having auto-complete that suggests the next word while typing.

So true. I live in a little tourist town that sits in a valley at the base of a big beautiful mountain. Most times, the tourists I observe are looking down at their phones.
It's really quite something to see - I always feel like yelling "wake up people, look around you!"

I yearn for those dial (or press-button) days. My life depends on my server, my browser, and two little dinguses called rechargeable batteries. If those fail, and my recharger does not work for some reason, I have a landline for which I pay, but through which I am no longer able to to communicate. Yes, I have my cellphone (smartphone) - but this too has (complex) requirements.
In the old days you paid monthly for something that did not require anything more than one finger to dial a friend.

I love your cartoons. I don't get a newspaper as the only one readily available is the Biloxi Sun Herald, which focuses on high school sports and not much else. I really miss cartoons.
