**Edited for community guidelines**

At the risk of being pedantic, I would like to suggest that the wording of the phrase **Edited for community guidelines** is nonsensical. 

 

Would the message being conveyed by the phrase not be clearer if it were changed to **Edited to comply with community guidelines**?

 Thanks, Janean- this is high praise indeed, coming as it does from a grammarian to a pleb who can hardly tell a past principle from a gerund.   

I'll try every now and then to see if they edited the message...
