Hold three things simultaneously, not more than one in a hand

The title was inspired by a Delta Airlines security staffer shortly after 9/11, who addressed a crowd of business travelers telling them to hold their ticket in one hand and their ID in the other hand, and in the other hand ... By the time she was fiished I counted eleven hands. But, that's not what this post is about.

We recently received an information packet from our Homeowners Association via our law firm. We are voting on Board of Managers election candidates. Honest to God, a law firm sent this out:

All ballots must be received on or before October 12 to be counted. The only approved method of voting is via mail using the enclosd postage-prepaid envelope.

Your ballot must be postmarked by October 12 in order to be counted. If it is postmarked by October 12, it will be counted.

Confused? So were we. So, we looked at the pre-paid envelope, and it was already post-marked October 1.

These people paid how much for their legal education?

Maybe this was a test to see how smart people were. Do you think you were supposed to add a 2 after the 1?

Yeah, not surprised at all. Degrees and degree acronyms after names mean nothing in relationship to the quality of work that will be done.
