Looking back, how many full-time jobs did you have before you became a freelancer? Do you miss any of them? If so, why?

Luckily, I had family living in US for more than 10 years, so had a lot of help, most importantly a place to live. But, of course, I had to figure out a lot of things on my own as well, and learned a lot. Also did several part-time, odd jobs here and there for a couple of years.
It was still difficult to decide moving to a different culture, environment, and to start from scratch again. If I hadn't decided to move and live there, I would not be where I am today, so it was all a necessary process in life.

Hi, Ibtihaj. Startups are a cool thing. I hope they already have a positive continuation in the form of a product. Do you remember anything special from this experience that you can tell us about?

For sure. Startups are an exciting space to work in. One thing that definately stands out as an experience is getting comfortable in uncertainty. With the rapid pace of work and new challenges coming up continuosly, one has to learn to accept that problems will come up as the company attempts to grow (often trying to introduce something not done before) but in spite of the problems or uncertainty, you must continue to focus on your goal, and one step at a time you will eventually find the right answers. That was a valuable lesson and experience!

''and one step at a time you will eventually find the right answers'' This is amazing.
Ibtihaj, have had a decision that comes to your spontaneity, like during a dream, in a place nothing common with your job, someone said something and you found a decision. Wouldn't it be too much to ask you to remember and tell a more interesting one?

That's a really interesting question. While it's hard to recollect an exact moment, there surely have been many times where this has happened. I have found myself in many conversations where I suddenly get an idea about some work issue from the discussion and then waiting to jump to the laptop to work on it. Do you have any interesting moment that comes to your mind that you might have experienced?

You are right. I do a few works for different areas during the day. And from time to time I make decisions that come from another area. So I note it to my schedule as well. It looks like you found a bit of the puzzle. In the previous moment, I worked with bees and then I corrected my Profile.

I had one full-time job.
I miss it at times, but I love freelancing and that I can start something else on the side (in person) and actually use my digital skills to enhance operations!
