How to use your precious Energy ๐Ÿค”

Hello Upwork Community!
Nowadays, Freelancing is becoming main source of income for almost everybody specially with the new skills arrving in the Market. You just can't sit back after making a big impact in the start and then can sit an enjoy. Giving your platform time as well as client(Meetings and Giving him quality work) and learning new things is all necessary to stay in the competition. You have to ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ซ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง to stay in competiton for longer run. Giving these thing time daily needs alot of energy and it's human nature that after sometime, you started feeling left behind and feels that you

How to counter this?
๐€๐ง๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ:-
->Fix working hours in the day is necessary so we can manage work as well as all other different thing!
->Planning the day accordingly is compulsory
->(๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ)Spend this energy in executing the tasks so client get their value for money and comes back to you again
->(๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ)Spend this energy looking for newer clients and pitching to old clients or meeting and stuff
->(๐‹๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ)Spend this energy learning new things in the end of the day, Look to give it low priority but keep it's tracking so you don't fall away from competition.

In this manner, we can run a long time plan and can focus on our healths as well as other activities and our work will be upto the mark!
I used to just wakeup and starting working without any planning and that was causing me to get tired again and again so i made a daily work routine roaster for myself that i also have attached below and that helped me in saving alot of time and energy and i started playing big!
Hopefully i gave you valuable advice here,
feel free to have one to one conversation

Hi Eden. I love how you've broken down energy managementโ€”itโ€™s such a crucial aspect of freelancing that a lot of people overlook. One thing Iโ€™d add is that sometimes, itโ€™s less about managing energy and more about recognizing the quality of energy weโ€™re using.

For example, even if we have โ€œhigh energy,โ€ if itโ€™s scattered or distracted, it wonโ€™t be as productive. Iโ€™ve found that when Iโ€™m really intentional about focusing during those high-energy moments (like using time-blocking or minimizing distractions), I get more done in less time.

Also, sometimes โ€œlow energyโ€ periods are perfect for tasks that still require creativity, like brainstorming new ideas or doing light researchโ€”things that donโ€™t feel as taxing but still move the needle forward.

How do you handle days when your energy is low all day long? Would love to hear how you adjust!

Yeah you are right, High energy requires focus too. I go through low energy time frequently and what i obeserved is that, I usally don't take off's and even when i take off's, I just spend my whole day on the bed scorlling here and there watching some funny content but that is not what keeps my mind fresh and myself motivated. So I started playing some physical games. Sitting on the chair whole week and than playing games like Soccer and cricket removes alot of cloats from my body and improve my blood flow. Also fruits play a vital role in bring the positive energy. Keep fruit Salad as you one time meal in the day you complete your nutrients. So these are the ways i counter my low energy, What you do in this suitation!

Thatโ€™s awesomeโ€”youโ€™ve really hit the nail on the head with physical activity. I agree, sometimes just scrolling or watching content doesnโ€™t really refresh the mind, it kind of just keeps you in that low-energy zone. Soccer and cricket sound like a great way to get moving!

For me, I try to get outside, even if itโ€™s just a walk around the neighborhood. Something about fresh air and a change of scenery clears the mental fog. I also find that taking short, intentional breaks throughout the day (instead of pushing through) keeps my energy more balanced.

And Iโ€™m with you on the fruit salad! Itโ€™s a game changerโ€”keeps me feeling light and energized. Iโ€™ll definitely keep the physical games in mind, though, because I think that might be the missing piece on some of my low-energy days.

Thanks for the great tips!

Badminton is also a type of game which open's your body. Walking is a great way to keep yourself young. Try to meet different people with different thinking so you can understand what they want...Everyone has their own perspectives and different eye to look onto an issue, but they are not wrong(most of the time)... I also love playing chess in my free time as it helps me building strategy for utilizing my accest for the future run

Badmintonโ€™s a great suggestionโ€”definitely an underrated way to stay active and sharp! I love how you brought up meeting different people too. Itโ€™s so true that gaining different perspectives really helps not just with problem-solving, but also with staying open-minded in both work and life.

And chessโ€”yes! Itโ€™s such a great mental workout, especially for building strategy and thinking a few steps ahead, which totally applies to freelancing. I might have to start incorporating a game or two into my routine!

Curiousโ€”how do you balance physical activities like badminton and more mental games like chess with your freelancing workload? Do you have a set routine for them?

This is such a helpful breakdown! I completely agree with having different energy levels throughout the day and using them wisely. Itโ€™s so easy to burn out if you donโ€™t plan your day. Do you have any specific techniques for boosting energy when you're feeling low?

Diet and Athleticism is the key. Play sports like badminton who make you move alot or if football, then try to apply tricks like dibbling and stuff that will make you sweat! Sweating is the key to keep yourself active as winter is arriving, Sports is so neccesary because your body need clean water daily and usually in winter, We even spend 24 hours without water. So sports is the key as well as food salad(To fulfill nutrients) for the healthy life and longer run.
