I think it depends on your work environment and how your days are structured.
For me, short tasks (i.e., 2 minutes to 2 hours) are easy and require no adjustments. Longer tasks (i.e., 2+ hours) require "mini breaks." Most of my mini breaks, lasting 10-30 minutes, involve reading non-work-related articles, chatting with family or friends (by phone or text), or grabbing a quick snack or lunch. However, I will spend 1.5 hours for workout and to clear my mind.
These mini breaks help me stay focused on work tasks because hunger, boredom, and being sedentary are distractions for me and always lead to being unfocused.
