Too Funny Not to Share

So, I got an email this morning along the lines of:

Katrina, act fast, this job was just posted in Transcription.

"I need a graphic designer for two logos"

a few months ago someone posted a job in the design section  - asking for 20 minute short film original music score in the style of John Williams...
that one cost me a new keyboard - after a whole cup of coffee landed on it....

The whole "Act Fast" thing is kinda cringey lol

I actually got an invitation this morning from a client looking for a graphic designer. (Somthing is not working.)

On another board I regularly get invitations for data entry. People I hire will use freelancers for data entry. It's nuts.

A miracle --- Overnight, without me doing anything, I've developed new skills, and qualifications that I didn't even now I posessed. I have received from talent specialists 2 new jobs I can apply to.

1  Final Cut Pro Videos to Adobe Premiere Pro and the do some editing to the content of the video.

2 Still event photographer in Naperville, IL (USA)  Digital DSLR camera (Canon or Nikon) with 24-70 2.8 VR or equivalent. Lite Panels and- monopod or tripod.

I guess I now have Adobe Premiere Pro and know how to work with Final Cut Pro videos. I should look around my house too, because I suppodesly have a digital DSLR camera either a Cannon or Nikon ir 24.70 2.8 VT (whatever that is) Lite Panels and a monopod or tirpod stashed somewhere, Maybe out in the shed in the back yard? I also don't live in Naperville IL,

(Perhaps I should update my profile to include these skills?)

Kathy,

Have you considered the idea that you may have multiple personalities? Maybe one of the other ones has been training to do video work while you sleep. I think you should wholeheartedly embrace unexpected supplemental income streams of this kind.  Adding a specialized profile would work perfectly for this type of arrangement.

Renata - you have a very good point there. My astrological sign is Gemini. I guess I just need to connect better with my "other half."

Hi everyone,

Our team looked into this further once Kathy provided more information, and we confirmed that the recommendations weren't sent by Talent Specialists. Kathy received the job recommendations because she is a member of two private Talent Clouds. As such, any member of a Talent Cloud will receive notifications for any jobs posted to those Clouds, even if they are not aligned with the services they offer as a freelancer.

Kathy, as per recommendation of the team, if you want to continue to be exposed to opportunities being offered by both these Enterprise clients, it's in your best interest to remain part of both these Talent Clouds. However, please know that ANY jobs posted to either of those Clouds will trigger notifications. You may leave the Talent Cloud at any time that is convenient for you.
