I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this: I got a message today from the Upwork Enterprise Team account saying my contract with one of my current (or now former) Enterprise clients was being closed because they had failed to add a verified payment method. Now, I don't quite recall whether that was the case when I received the job invite and reviewed the job post (something I always do), but this struck me as odd for two reasons:
1. They're an enterprise client that's been with Upwork since March of last year.
2. They've got about 157 generally positive reviews, as well as over $200k spent on the site.
I dunno. Seems strange if you ask me. I just checked, and the client's payment method is now (or perhaps had always been) verified.

Possibly, but I'm not sure. Just seems odd that they'd suddenly end our contract, even if that's the reason.
