I believe You cannot win the world but you can win yourself.
In this world, we have been given divine powers (see, listen, feel, love, speak, touch) by God to excel in our all endeavors.
Earning money is a by-product of doing great service towards your customers.
Money helps in the delivery of service. it is not the goal in itself.
Business is all about winning new relations and friends.
Customer success is your success,
you feel it when you get friendly feedback from the customers and it motivates you to hustle more...
Over many years, I have come to realize that my purpose in taking a job is to make the client/ employer look as good as possible. Everything else will fall into place.

Yes, but you wouldn't have achieved that if your clients hadn't liked what you did. So your initial goal must have been to please your clients to get the dosh.
(Of course it could be argued that many artists (in any field) have starved in attics in order to achieve a sort of Utopian fame, which indeed is sometimes the case, and conferred in both professional and monetary terms, but often after the artist him/herself is dead. This to me, is a sort of Pyrrhic victory.)
