No we can't send you to jail.  It was in the title though the exact word was "Up-dateing"

"Updateing" is most definitely NOT standard spelling.

In my personal life "updateing" is spelled incorrectly.

But I'm a mercenary. So if a client wants to pay me to do some updatEing, I'll do it.

 Preston, I don't remember much SQL, but I think updatEing may trigger an error.

Updateing is incorrect - period. 

However ageing and aging (UK and US English) are both acceptable - such are the vagaries of the English language
