Today we’re again going to learn more about someone you’re probably already pretty familiar with if you spend much time in the Community forums. Nik is one of our Community Engagement Specialists and has been working with Upwork for two and a half years.
Nik: I heard from a couple of current team members about Upwork and specifically about the Community team. I was amazed by how proud they were to speak about their team and job. Inspired by their passion and drive, I was happy to apply for the position of Community Moderator and... Here I am. 🙂
Nik: A great part of my role is addressing users' concerns in Community and moderating. Making sure that each voice is heard and that every piece of constructive feedback reaches the appropriate team. Additionally, part of my role is to escalate reports of possible issues (or bugs) to developers and appropriate teams so that they can resolve them as soon as possible.
Nik: For me, there are two things that make my job very enjoyable: helping people and solving problems. Making sure that we create a positive user experience, great engagement, and ensure that everyone is heard.
Nik: I would have to choose my team as my favorite part of Upwork. From the start, everybody was very helpful and helped me improve my knowledge and skills. And in general, I think the first association for Upwork is improvement and growth. There is always something new and interesting to learn, everything is changing and improving. New challenges are seen as something good as it gives us chance to learn and grow.
Nik: Engaging in adventures and spending quality time with friends and family. I really like hiking; so, spending time in nature is my way of recharging. I also like to read, listen to music, watch movies, play games, and train at the gym.
