When discussing the most in-demand tech skills, Margaret shared how the digital transformation really took hold when the world went remote. For many companies, when it comes to their web presence, they’re seeking to upgrade and grow and evolve with the ever-changing times. As such, it's not surprising that we saw an uptick in demand for skills like web design, WordPress, and web programming. For example, web programming increased 43% YoY. We’re seeing that more and more businesses are coming to Upwork to hire for tech skills that are becoming increasingly important to keep pace with digital transformation.
