How do you budget your connects for the month?

Once your profile gets approved, you will be able to select your membership plan if you go to your Membership & Connects page (Settings > Membership & Connects).

Hi Jennifer,

You can upgrade your membership plan by following these steps:

1. Go to the Accounts menu > Settings > Memberships & Connects
2. Click the View or edit membership plan link
3. Click the Sign up button on the Plus plan
4. You'll receive a prorated number of Connects as an upgrade bonus

I've read about half of the pages in this question. Mostly, the responses are "What are connects?" and "How do I get connects?"

A few say "60 connects per month are plenty. I don't use them all." And one said "If you cannot get a single job with 60 connects, it means that you are doing something terribly wrong. Like carpet bombing the board with spam proposals."

Okay. But how do you avoid spamming? In other words, how do you know which jobs to bid on, and which to avoid? 

In all seriousness, has anyone actually answered the actual question "How do you budget your connects for the month"?
