Design portfolio piece for clients to see

Before I do the proposal offer, some required to sent my design pieces to see my work. My concern is that I like to know what is the size of proportion of a design pic, max dpi, what kind of format to be sent, and color code.. those are what I need to know before I can sent out my art pieces to them without any error online.
