Hello Upwork Community,
I hope everyone is doing well! I've been a part of the Upwork community for some time now, and I've had the privilege of completing 10 successful projects with a total income exceeding $300. Additionally, I'm proud to maintain a 100% job success rate. However, as I continue my journey on Upwork, I've been contemplating the question of when it's appropriate to adjust my freelance rates.
I find myself in a bit of a balancing act. On one hand, I don't want to undervalue my skills and experience by charging too little. On the other hand, I want to remain competitive and not risk pricing myself out of potential opportunities.
I'd love to hear from fellow freelancers who have navigated this territory. How did you decide it was time to raise your rates? Are there specific milestones or criteria you used to make this decision? Were there any challenges or lessons learned along the way?
Thank you in advance for your input, and I look forward to learning from your wisdom.
Best regards,
Alicia Watkins
