hourly rate for the designer. How it works?

Please tell me how does the hourly payment for the designer? Always worked at a fixed price, but here the client asks only hourly. Does the application take screenshots? If you need to leave, you need to suspend? Thank you in advance.

Hi Ilona,

For hourly contracts, you will need to download the Upwork time tracker app to log the hours you worked. On Monday at 12 noon UTC following the close of the billing period, clients are automatically invoiced for hourly contracts. Upwork charges their primary billing method and sends a reminder to review their contract’s Work Diary. To learn more about the weekly billing cycle, please check out this help article. Please let us know if you any assistance, we're here to help. Thanks!

re: "Does the application take screenshots?"

Yes.

re: "If you need to leave, you need to suspend?"

Yes.

Just stop the time-tracking application when you stop working on the project.

Think to yourself:

"Hmm... I've been working on this for an hour. I need to break for lunch... I'll stop the time-tracker application now and when I come back, I'll start it again when I resume work."
