10 hours per week not reached what happens?

Hello there! I just want to ask about hourly jobs. One of my client asked me to work 10hours for one week. But I wasn't able to complete it due to Internet problems. Although he never really complained. My question is, will oDesk be able to automatically pay me for the hours I've done in a week although I wasn't able to complete the 10 hour limit? I was able to complete 5 hours only. I hope to hear your comments about this. Thanks!

You will be paid for however many hours you worked. However, if you aren't able to complete a task for any reason, you should contact the client as soon as you can and explain the situation. Don't wait for the client to complain.

For situations like that, you should agree with your client on remedies. My client allows me to add manual hours if technical issues beyond my control interrupt my work.
