Hi there,
Is there a way how to shorten or dismiss 5-day pending security period?
Sometimes it´s a bit frustrating and I don´t really see the reason behind this. Also whatever the reason is, 5 days seems a lot.
When two trusted users with years of experience on Upwork works together as a client and a freelancer, I honestly can´t see why this takes so long. Can you please tell me either if there´s a way how to change that or the reason behind it?

No.

This is a security precaution that Upwork uses to help prevent fraudulent financial transactions. For example, Upwork uses this to cut down on people using the platform to process payment from stolen credit cards, and then withdraw real money before the fraudulent nature of the transactions can be discovered or remedied.
Upwork then passes the money they save onto us.

Thank you for your answer, I understand that this issue has to be dealt with. Although it still seems a bit paranoid when applied on users that has been using the site for many years...
