Yeah, Peter... Sorry that you are frustrated by this file size limit.
But there is really no need for you to use Upwork to transfer large files to clients.
Use FTP on your own server, or use Dropbox, or simply use your own email account, such as gmail...

I think it's great that you have taken the inititive in this regard. Having this solution also solves many problems related to the often-not-working Upwork Message center.
I have work accounts for both Dropbox and Google drive, as different clients prefer one or the other. This can be useful if you have long-term clients with whom you do a lot of file transfers.
