A prospective client with potential ties to Chinese Military

I have been communicating with a prospective client. Everything seemed legit. Good social following, Decent review (good and bad responses), but I noticed a big flag when I got to the bottom of the page. There was link to Chinese Military Government. The client I am chatting with is in Pet industry and their target audience is USA. I have heard that the USA-China are not on the best of terms. I am overthinking this.
