A weird problem Client Ended the contact without approving the hours.

So a weird problem happend to me let me know if any know had this before.

 

I had an hourly contract from the client,

I delivered the work and logged the hours manually .

Client was trying to approve the hours and she mistakenly ended the contact.

She keep saying that she cant see the approve hours button.

She sent me the upwork invoice claiming that she paid the amount and it should be approved. 

 

So I thought maybe if I gave the feedback and ended the contact it will end up in my reports but nothing happned.

 

I wrote to the support a ticket because for some reason chat is always not online.

waiting for upwork support to reply back.

 

Do any of you had this problem before and what did you guys did ?

Yes.

There IS NO BUTTON for approving hours.

I'm sorry to hear that.

In my reports, I have no problem seeing my manually-logged hours.

The system is working as expected.

There may be some gaps in understanding on your part.

I have worked as a freelancer for 9 years. I have never had a client approve my hours.

There is no button for approving hours.

You should not have written to Support.

You should not have created a ticket for this.

Your goal should be for you to undertsand how the system works.


You should understand that clients DO NOT APPROVE hours.

As a freelancer, I get paid AUTOMATICALLY for the hours that I log.
