Um... First of all, Upwork isn't asking the questions. The clients are choosing to ask or not ask questions based on prompts provided when they create a job posting.
And if you are tired of answering questions, just stop. Nobody is forcing you to do so. You could just focus on your long-term clients and skip sending job,applications altogether, or you could apply only to jobs that don't ask questions. There are lots of job postings that don't pose any questions, or only have a blank text box for a cover letter.
