About Upwork Fee

Hello Everyone,

I actually want to ask one question here regarding Upwork Fee.
My client will pay me $1500 per month and he assigned mileston of $750 for 15 days. So, When he will release the payment then upwork minus 20% fee or 10% fee. Because whole project is more than $1000. So, I'm confused when he will release half payment for 15 days work which is less than $1000 then when will be upwork's fee either 20% or 10%. Thanks.

Both: The fee will be 20% on the first $ 500 of that $ 750 milestone, and 10% on the $ 250 - so overall that milestone will come with a fee of $ 125. ($ 100 from the $ 500 and $ 25 from the $ 250)

Hi Muhammed,

You will be charged with 20% fee until you`ve earned $500.01. After this, your fee is reduced to 10%. 
In your case on the rest of the funds $250, you will be charged with 10% fee.
