About W-8BEN form for Freelancer in Germany

I am PhD student in Germany. I have VAC but I dont have business. Do I have to fill W-8BEN form? What should I write for the name then? Thanks

Hi Suleyman,

You can use your own legal name as it appears in your passport or other official documents to complete the W-8BEN, which purpose is to confirm you're not a US taxpayer.

No, you just complete the W-8BEN on your settings page and you're done.
