Account Suspended

I signed up for upwork a few years ago and haven't used the service much. While going through old emails I remembered I had an account and went to close it as I don't like having too much of my information online. However I can't close my account because I am "On suspension" and cannot find a way to remedy this. Someone please assist me with this further
