My friend`s account got suspended as UpWork did not accept his identity verification for some reason.
He had around $4k on the account that he had not withdrawn and some $1k pending that was supposed to be released on the next payment schedule (Wednesdays for him).
What will happen with those funds? I guess that pending will go to the client that paid him but what about the funds that were already on his account? Is there any way for him to get a hold of that?

Your friend should have received an email support ticket, and they should be able to follow up on the ticket regarding the balance on their account. If your friend hasn't received a response from the team, you can send me a private message by clicking on my name with more information so that I can look into their account further.
