Hi. How do I add a dollar amount to an hourly job? Thanks, guys.

Simply ask your client to pay you a bonus to the agreed amount.

If you are a client, you may pay any additional dollar amount that you want to. Use the "Pay Bonus" tool attached to any contract, even if the contract has been closed.

If you are a freelancer, you may add additional time, manually, to your work diary. You may indicate the start and end time of the work period, and include a memo note describing what you were doing.

(This is IF the contract allows manual time, of course.)

As a freelancer, you do not add a "dollar amount." You add time, and you are paid automatically for that time based on the hourly rate associated with the contract.

Simply ask your client to pay you a bonus to the agreed amount.

That's easy.
Is it okay if I have an hourly job that shows no hours, then?

Yes. That can happen.

If you have an hourly job that ended up with no hours, but you were paid with a bonus, then this will still count positively toward JSS.

There is no penalty for having a contract without hours, as long as there was some payment received.

Thank you both, Petra and Preston. Have a great week.

Sure but you asked how you add MONEY, not hours.

If it is an hourly contract, why don't you use it properly and track your time so you are protected?

Adding "money" or manual time means if the client doesn't want to pay or their card fails, you don't get paid.
