It is my first week here. Got a small contract on my 2nd day. Unfortunately, it is not going well with the owner. Ornigal work only had one milestone. After I completed 1st one, owner added #2 milestone. It was however never funded, system only shows additional fund in "budget". After work completed, owner mentioned "there is something more", and asked to continue working on it without addtional milestone or funds. I refused and communicated with him about my reasoning. He then cancelled #2 milestone entirely. All commnication are written, scope was clearly documented too. After initial "request for fund" for two milestones. He now makes up some stories about my 1st milestone has problems (which is not related to work, but related to Googlesheet online software).
How did you reslove issues like this, if it ever happened to you? I have not yet seen a "dispute" button anywhere. Please provide your experience/advice.
