Agency drawback on your upwork profile

Hey Fellows,

I had recently added an agency to my profile, but that agency belongs to one of my friends who created that agency and added me as a bookkeeper there.

I think since I've been added to the agency because of that I am not getting projects and even interview calls, Is this the right reason, or I'm missing something else.

Please share your experience if you got the same problem, or and suggestions for me.

Many clients avoid agencies and agency freelancers.

Yeah, I know If someone applies through an agency it happens.

But what I want to know is, if there is a label of agency on your profile and you apply as a freelancer will this effects.

The idea is that the agency owner will provide you with jobs. If that doesn't happen, there is no point.
