Almost identical scam invitations

Like a lot of other freelancers I have been the subject to multiple scam/spam invitations in recent days. Today I've received over a dozen almost identical invitations. I have to go in to each of them individually to decline them and mark them as spam which takes time.

Is Upwork proactively working on a solution to this and when will it be deployed?

They have said they are and that will be deployed in a week or so. Hopefully, it will result in an immediate reduction of scam/spam posts and invitations. It will be clear to see whether what they do works or not by the number of them that disappear overnight.
