Am I charged Connects to withdraw a bid?

I have 10 CONNECTS. When I try to bid a job that requires 6 CONNECTS,  the page says I have 4 CONNECTS. I made two bids on Upwork so far. They totalled 10 CONNECTS. So where dod those other 6 CONNECTS go? I withdrew one of the bids. Was I charged CONNECTS for that?

No. You have send two proposals (4+6 connects) as shown in your second screen shot and the first screen shot is from another job telling you if you send the proposal you have 4 remaining connects.

Laura, you don’t get connects back when you withdraw a bid.

I wasn't expecting to get them back. But it seems I've been CHARGED 4 for withdrawing my proposal.

Oh! I see. I didn't read that very carefully!

Thanks!
