Another account created by little sis but I cancelled immediately when I came to know

Hi I want to ask that my little sister I don't know for fun perhaps created my account with same credentials on upwork but I closed it immediately although it was under review for 24 hours will my original account be closed by upwork
I closed it immediately after it came to my consideration and it's under review
Should I be worried?

ahhh, yes, the little sister NO REASON when she just thinks "Hey, time to make an upwork account in my brother's name because why not?" It happens so much, so don't worry OP it's good to see honest people come forward to bring awareness to others about the little sister duplicate account menace.

Well, if your sister created an account and then YOU closed it, you have violated ToS by accessing another user's account. Otherwise, tell your "sister" to find better ways to "prank" you.

Well not exactly just put my photo in the profile and my mobile number
That is why I am worried about my account

You have been honest about the situation. You came forward to explain what happened. I do not think you need to worry about your account.


As long as you work with Upwork Customer Support to get rid of the fake account, you will be fine.

It seems to happen so frequently that upwork just created the flagging option "fake account created by lil sis", I'm glad to see they are on top of things.
