I have an assignment that I am supposed to complete. However, I can not get the correct program on my phone (WebHound - I can only get "Hound" and yes I tried for what seemed like hours to get WebHound) nor can I get the audio online to work. Keep getting "Error" messages.
I have a major high-speed internet connect, the right phone, and such.
Friday morning I wrote and to let them know this. I listed my question as: 1) 2) 3) etc. I waited all day for an answer and nothing. Eventually, they answered late Saturday night, with only ONE answer to my 6 questions. The answer was to make sure "I have high speed WiFi" - I do.
So today at 7am I cleared my history. Cleared all cookies, re-started my computer and..., yep, I'm still getting the "error" messages I got Friday. I am following all instructions to a "T" but it just will not work. I did a speed test, which looks good. I wrote them again, but it looks like this assigment is going nowhere.

I did a search and all I find is an app on Git and something on Amazon for website analytics. I refuse to install apps on my computer unless it's reliable. Like Adobe gave me their software.
I see the project in Git but meh I wouldn't install this. It could do anything.
I would refuse this job. You're asking for malware. There isn't enough info on this software.
It's an app that one of Upwork's Talent Groups uses for audio collection jobs.
I worked on such a PTC job 2 weeks ago and used Webhound on my MacBook as I didn't want to install anything on my phone. I just logged in online.
Worked fine, just a bit slow to upload.
When you say you wrote to "them" - is that the ADC email address?
They were slow to respond to my questions as well on that project.
The German one paid slightly better
I only did it because I wanted to become a member of that group and check out PTC clients. And there was no need to download anything if you used a laptop. The second PTC job (editing) was more lucrative.
You Germans get all the fancy stuff.
Yeah, I considered it because just speaking into a mic can't be all that hard, but I imagine it would have been a few hours maybe, so it would take up too much time. If it was an hour maybe but $40 including the Upwork fee just wasn't worth it.
