Are offers necessary to start working?

Hello! I want to start working with a client, we already agreed on payment terms and the work that has to be done by messages. Do I need to receive an offer? or should I send a contract to him? What is my next step? He is asking me for a billing request, where do I get that from?

Hi Lorenzo,

Please keep in mind that in order to be protected under our Upwork Payment Protection you will need to be hired on an official contract. Once you`re hired you can start working and you will be able to bill your client.

You can share this guide with your client on how they can send you an offer. Thank you.
