Are tracked hours paid after a contract has been paused by the client?

Hello,

I have worked about 9 hours this week for a client through tracked hours (hourly payment) and I am concerned if I will get paid even if he pauses the contract?

I tracked 9 hours of work, and today on Sunday the contract was paused. I still have the hours billed so after Sunday will I receive payment that I'm owed even if now the contract is paused?

Shpat - My understanding and experience have been that when a contract is paused, it is often because of some kind of client payment problem. If that gets corrected, the contract resumes. However, if you tracked your hours and you included the work you were doing in the memo field, that work is guaranteed by Upwork and you will be paid.

8pm EST it will move to in review and then 8pm EST Friday it will move to pending. And then as long as nothing weird happens with payment and you follow payment protection rules, you see the money Tues at 8pm EST.
