You need to ask the client to make the changes then you accept the updated contract.
Remember that fixed priced contracts aren't guaranteed and the client pays at their discretion. If there are problems with receiving payment, oDesk won't get involved.

Hi Brian,
If it is an hourly job and you are unable to track your time, you could use Manual Time. You would have to discuss it with your client and get their permission for it though. Also, note that Manual hours don't qualify for the oDesk Guarantee.
