As a freelancer, can I manually change my terms of payment with my employer?

They're asking if I can change it from hourly to fixed prices. Is this something I can do? Or do they have to change it and I accept.

You need to ask the client to make the changes then you accept the updated contract. Remember that fixed priced contracts aren't guaranteed and the client pays at their discretion. If there are problems with receiving payment, oDesk won't get involved.

Thank you for your reply. How can I just tell them I worked 15 hours that week (its 15 hours max) and they pay those 15 hours?

Forgot to mention that I can't use the odesk hours app, i work from my phone. But they always get my work.

Hi Brian, If it is an hourly job and you are unable to track your time, you could use Manual Time. You would have to discuss it with your client and get their permission for it though. Also, note that Manual hours don't qualify for the oDesk Guarantee. I hope it helps.
