Beneficiary name is mismatched

My direct to bank payment method has been deactivated since my upwork account name does not match the name in my bank account---this is because I previously used my nickname when I created this account.

But I have already edited my details to replace my nickname with my full name here in upwork. Any chance you could have my payment method activated already?

You can update your name by going to Settings and using the edit button. If your name variation is not acceptable, our agent will advise you directly about mismatch on your documents and suggest editing your Upwork profile name to match your legal name.

I sent it in Arabic كيرلس عماد فؤاد توفيق ميخائيل as in my national  ID and it verified successfully

and the name in the PayPal account is Kero Emad 

Kero is my nake name Emad is my middle name

I hope this clear to you and I hope this PayPal account work it's my only way to get my money

Hello there, I would like to know if I can use the short version of my name: Shiva, instead of Shivânanda.

While I know that Shivananda is a very common name for many individuals around here, where I live (Brazil) it's a very unique name and during my entire life I was never called Shivânanda in a positive way. I had some family problems because of my full name and what it means, and thus I've drifted away more and more from using it.

Shivananda is actually a "two word" name, Shiva and Ananda (the â is meant to represent, as it sounds in portuguese, as a double a). So theorically my name is Shiva-Ananda.

Is it possible to just use Shiva here on Upwork? While I don't mind my name around banks and credit cards, here it's different as it's on my face all day long, and I'm not entirely comfortable with it.

And I presume accepting "Shiva" for "Shivânanda" is equivalente of accepting "Bob" for Robert.

I need to contact the Customer Support Centre for a query on my account but when I go to 'Get Help' I only get the Community option which doesn't help me with my query and I am not able to open a request ticket.

My Paypal was always working but not anymore, I reactivated it but now it says the name is incorrect.

Even though it is the same name and previously worked.

Error msg.

How can I open a support ticket to resolve this issue?

Regarding your name mismatch, I followed with the team and it's already been resolved. For your security, you need to allow 3 days for this withdrawal method to become active.

**The names provided on my payment methods are no different from the ones filled on Upwork. Likewise, my account has the blue badge, which means the platform already verified my authenticity. 

After getting the notification that the names do not match, I did nothing before it automatically changed the status to *in progress* which has never proceeded for days!

Kindly help to check this out and rectify it. I assume it is an error from your bot or something. Thank you.

Aleksandar, i have quite the same problem. My names are mismatched, seems to, because they are typed in different languages. On my paypal account i have my name in Russian, according to my government ID. Is it possible to manually match my names this way? I wanted to open a ticket, but didnt find a way to do it.

Could you please elaborate on why your account beneficiary doesn't match your verified name so we could assist you accordingly? Please know, to set up payment to your bank or payment account, you must be listed as an account holder or authorized signer on that account, or demonstrate that you are authorized by the business to do so. In some cases, we can resolve name discrepancies. Learn more about this here.
