Beneficiary name is mismatched

My direct to bank payment method has been deactivated since my upwork account name does not match the name in my bank account---this is because I previously used my nickname when I created this account.

But I have already edited my details to replace my nickname with my full name here in upwork. Any chance you could have my payment method activated already?

Hi all,

 

Our account support team actively reviews verified name mismatches. Please allow up to 48 hours for the team to review the name mismatch on your account. If our team finds an issue with your payment method, we will reach out to you directly with instructions on how to correct it. You can learn more about this here.

Hi! My full name is Jaszmhynne Belle V. Flores but I made my upwork name as just Jaszmhynne Flores. Now I can't withdraw my earnings thru local bank transfer because of "mismatched name". How can I fix this and if all I have to do is change my profile name, can you please indicate the steps on how to do that. Thank you very much!

Thank you for your message. I checked and I do not see any mismatch on your account. All payment methods on your Upwork account are active and can be used to initiate fund withdrawals.

Thank you for looking into it. I was able to transfer the money to my local
bank account just now. This was a problem for me last year when I was just
starting freelancing on upwork. I don't know what changed but glad I can
now transfer funds. Thank you very much!

The beneficiary name on the payment method you added doesn't match the name on your Upwork account. while My account name on Paypal is the same as Upwork account name

Hi, 

I am getting an error on Get Paid tab in upwork.

"the beneficiary name on your payment method does not match the name on your Upwork account."

Beneficiary name on my bank account is same as my verified name in upwork but still I am getting this error. Can you please help me resolve this issue? I am not able to contact any support agent and live bot thing is really a horrible experience.

unfortunately I'm having problems in the process of receiving payment and transferring it to the local bank, it says this as a warning. My local bank has the letter 'ç' in my name, but on the site I cannot add this letter to my name.

Hello! 

 

I've been trying to add a payment method. I've tried adding both PayPal and Direct to Local Bank one but I've faced the same problem every fime. The system tells me that the beneficiary name on my payment method doesn't match the name on my profile although the information is correct. I suppose it may be because my name is in Cyrillic on both my PayPal and bank accounts but I'm not sure. 

Could you help me solve this problem?

Hi Team, I am getting error The beneficiary name is mismatched after I tried adding my Wise account to Upwork Payment Method.This might be due to my surname Cabañes wherein Upwork does not accept 'ñ' hence I had replaced to 'n'. I had submitted my proof such as driver's license and bank information. Kindly help to fix the same.

Hello I do have the same problem. I recently added a new payment method and it missmatches the name on Upwork. I already waited more than 48 hours and still nothing.

My verified name matches the name on my payment method, but I still got this message. However, in my certificate of earnings my name is slightly different because I was asked to put it 'as it was shown on my ID' which was in Arabic, and my name on my payment method is in English...

 

So now I have this problem, how can I get my name in the certificate of earnings fixed?

I recently tried to link a USD bank account to my upwork profile but I am getting the error "The beneficiary name is mismatched" while my name is exactly the same in my bank account and my Upwork account and there is no chance that they could be different (Since both accounts are verified by my original Identification Card)
Please look into this and help me. I am attaching screenshots of my Upwork and Bank Account.

Hi, 

I've the same problem, today I was going to getting paid but found out that it says; 

"Payment method verification in progress

Your payment method has been deactivated because the beneficiary name on your payment method does not match the name on your Upwork account."
 
Tho it's always the same name that I used to get paid, but I don't know what happened? I've tried to add another bank account, and also edit my surname in case it contains special letters, but it's still same. =// 

How can I fix this?
