Billing Issue

I have been away from Upwork for at least a year. I came back on to do a job and things seem a little different. I started a contract with a client and I didnt realize he was charging hourly instead of agree upon amount just for completing the project. After I completed the project, we tried to change from hourly to the project sum and it wouldnt let us, so I suggested to the client he start a new contract. We couldnt end the other one. Now, it looks like he might be charged for two contracts--the old one and the new one. How can I stop this from going through?

Hi Jessica,

 

Unfortunately, you can't stop the hourly charge since your client was already billed. Once the funds from the hourly contract are available on your account you can issue a refund.
