Bogus Job Postings

Are others noticing a seemingly higher volume of job postings that are closed by Upwork for suspicious activity on the part of the client? Ten of the last twenty jobs I have submitted a proposal for have soon after been closed by Upwork. While I appreciate that Upwork (and also my fellow freelancers, and myself on occasion) ferret out bad or unscrupulous clients, the seemingly higher volume of bogus job postings takes up my time and energy, and leaves me with no job. Just wondering if others are noticing an increase if bogus job postings?

Yes, quite a few. I do my part in reporting the bogus ones that send me other sites or ask me for my personal details.

Do you get your connects refunded for these bogus jobs?

Yes, we will return Connects when a client closes their job without hiring or we find a job post has violated our Terms of Service.
