I applied to a job that requires me to be eligible to review books on Amazon. What do I need to do so that I qualify for this job?
Sincerely,
Carrie Van Hoose

There's certainly nothing wrong with writing book reviews.
And there's nothing wrong with getting paid to write book reviews.
But Amazon has its own rules, and Upwork is supportive of that, and officially prohibits contracts that violate Amazon's book review rules.

You need to flag the job as inappropriate as Amazon strictly forbids ANY paid reviews (except for reviewing free ebooks which must be clearly marked as paid reviews) and because the job violates Amazon's terms of service it also violates Upwork's terms of service.
Run far away - Amazon has already taken over 1000 (!) freelancers to court over this kind of nonsense.

Second that, plus everybody who wants to send you a check for office equipment is a fraudster.

Hi Carrie,
I've checked this job you brought to our attention and followed up with our team. The job has already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork ToS.
Please, check this help article for more information on how to use the flag option found on each job post or message to report any suspicious or inappropriate content. Also, check out this post for more tips on how to avoid questionable jobs.
Thank you!
