Can I emit invoces to upwork, or do I need to emit directly to clients?

Hello,

I would like to emit invoices to Upwork as an independent contractor resident in Portugal. This is how I can legally withdraw money from Upwork into a bank account. To do so, I have to include the Upwork VAT number and address.
I need to pay taxes here in Portugal and I need that to do so...
Where do I find the VAT number of Upwork?
