I'm now working as an agency member but I would like to know if I'm still allowed to take jobs as an individual freelancer.
Thanks

If you are a non-exclusive agency member, you can. If you are an exclusive agency member, you can't.
But being associated with an agency will likely lower your chances of being hired either way because so many clients won't touch agencies or agency freelancers, ever...

Here's a reason not to work for an agency. Note Vladimir's remark, where he writes, "As you already know, when you work for an agency, all contract earnings are paid to the agency's financial account on Upwork. You as an agency contractor agree with the agency owner about how they will pay you. Payments from agencies to agency members are not protected or facilitated by Upwork so unfortunately we can't advise or take action in regards to the issue you reported."
