Can I use html anchor text in my cover letter?

Good morning fellow freelancers. Here I am still feeling my way along  asking questions hoping to learn from the experience of others.

One of my questions this morning comes on the back of a previous question, i.e. Linking to my portfolio  in a proposal cover letter.

So my "related" question  is;  "Can I use html markup  in my cover letter." The reason I ask is that I want to make the link to my portfolio use an anchor word such as "Portfolio" instead of a url such as https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01dafe19b174bc5bd1?viewMode=1

So I would like to be able to use

<a href="https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01dafe19b174bc5bd1?viewMode=1"target="_blank"> Portfolio </a> just because it's prettier.

I'll remember my other question later... I'm sure.

I was actually wishing for this feature earlier today when I sent an application. The long links just look so ugly.

To answer your question - I don't think markup will work but it would be great if it did. Hopefully a mod will come along and clarify.

Hi Ron,

It's not currently possible, but let me forward your suggestion to the team for consideration.

Thank you.
